The Perfect Pumpkin Patch

If you are looking for the perfect pumpkin patch in the West Sussex area (on the boarders of WS) this half term, I feel you’d be hard pushed to find any better patch than that of family run Rogate Pumpkins.

I’d visited the farm once before during the summer of 2021 to see their sunflower fields, (unfortunately they did not get the green light to proceed with this this year). Rupert really enjoyed the afternoon we spent there that summer as did my mother and I. This year we decided to go back and visit for their pumpkins and I’m so glad we did.

Their website states that it’s so much more than a pick your own farm, and it really is. There is so much to see and do that you could easily make a fun, fresh air fuelled family if day out of it.

It’s the perfect pumpkin patch to spark little imaginations. It so good in fact the children and I have visited twice this October, we arrived too close to witching hour the first time.

They have a magical village with many little houses to explore and play in as well as the spooky sunflower trail with individual creations to find along the way. There is face painting, a little fair ground, bouncy castles, ride on tractors, and should you get peckish there are plenty of different street food options scattered about, and obviously the actual pumpkin patch itself!

There is quite literally something different around every corner!

Rupert absolutely loved playing in the little witch’s village.

He did a splendid job cooking and cleaning!

We ended our visit by picking a variety of pumpkins all in different shapes and sizes from munchkins to monsters.

When our biggest pumpkin got tired out from all his running around and lifting of pumpkins, we made sure to leave enough room in the pull along for him to hop in for a ride back to the car with our pickings.

Not before a quick stop in at the spooky shop though. There was a photo corner for babies and toddlers in the shop, Rupert was not interested but I could not resist getting a couple of quick snaps of Darcie.

Rogate Pumpkin Patch is open until 30th October, and if you are looking for the perfect pumpkin filled day out, I can highly recommend a visit with your little witches and wizards.

Love for now
